When SpongeBob and Patrick use a new bubble formula, they find it can do almost anything - including create exact living duplicates of themselves! Evil twins have never been so transparent or so menacing as they are in 'Bubble Double Trouble'! Then, in 'See? Dragon!' SpongeBob is convinced he's found a dragon's tooth, but Squidward and Mr. Krabs think he's just finally lost his grip. Does Old Man Jenkins hold the secret to what the tooth really is? Well, yes and no. You'll see. Also in this issue: a gorgeous Bikini Bottom camping poster by Bob Flynn (Bravest Warriors), SpongeBob's amazing new facial hair, facts about coral reefs, and much more!

Roll out the red cape! The SpongeBob Comics Swimtacular celebrates the submarine superheroics of SpongeBob's idols, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, in forty-eight all-new pages! First, bear witness to a reunion of Mermaid Man's Golden Age team, the Aquatic Adventurers, in a story we could only call 'Lo, There Shall Be a Catered Event,' featuring funky flashbacks by Jerry Ordway (Superman)! Then, SpongeBob and Patrick's game of superheroes goes from silly to sillier, when they encounter the quiet-loving super-fiend known only as Mendu! Who could this green, big-nosed, tentacled villain possibly be? Next, legendary Silver Age artist Ramona Fradon (Metamorpho) returns to SpongeBob Comics to draw the never-before-seen Mermaid Man classic 'Sidekick Blues,' featuring the sinister Controlling Conch and the rarely sighted Edwardian Age Mermaid Man. All this plus a tour of the Mermalair, Plankton and Gary's brief super-careers, spoofs of classic comic book ads, and a double-page spread depicting every Bikini Bottom superhero and villain!

This issue features a stunning back cover comic painted by legendary MADman Al Jaffee! And inside: The mighty King Neptune has stolen the Krusty Krab and brought it to his legendary palace. Can the combined idiocy of Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob wrest it from Neptune's godly grasp? Find out in 'The Krusty Nabbed!' Next, Sandy is appalled by the horrible inaccuracies rampant in Bikini Bottom's Museum of Land Creatures...but wait until she finds out what they say about squirrels! The fur is flying in 'Landquarium.' Also, Squidward learns the pleasures and pitfalls of earplugs, Gary meets his dream snail, and Plankton paints a portrait of his darling wife! Plus: a fill-in comic and SpongeFunnies by Kochalka!
